GYNECOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS & TREATMENTS
PAP SMEAR TEST
It is the test through which the health of the cervix is checked. For most women it shows that the cells are normal and healthy, but in some cases there are changes in the cells. Cell changes can lead to cancer if not treated in time. It is recommended to avoid sexual intercourse for at least 24 hours before the Pap smear test.
COLPOSCOPY
Colposcopy is performed to diagnose some of the following pathological conditions:
- Cervical cancer
- Genital warts
- Cervicitis
- Precancerous lesions on the cervix
- Precancerous changes
- Cancer in the vagina and vulva.

An ultrasound is performed:
- For monitoring a pregnancy
